A long-time real estate mogul in the Albuquerque market has been arrested for operating a vehicle with a revoked drivers license.

A source at the Metropolitan Detention Center reports that Doug Vaughn, of Vaughn Company Realtors, was being booked at the detention center during the noon hour Thursday.

Vaughn has filed for both personal and corporate bankruptcy protection under chapter 11.

Dave Giddens, the bankruptcy attorney assisting Vaughn with his bankruptcies, told Eyewitness News 4 Thursday that he was surprised to learn of Vaughns arrest.

Giddens says that the poor real estate market is whats driving Vaughns bankruptcy petition for his 37-year-old company.
