It depends on the market at the time, real estate is going through a harsh time right now. On something the size of an average uterus a cozy 2 bedroom cottage could probably be fit comfortably without said uterus blowing up.

ask friends, family, neighbors etc to recommend a real estate agent, Having a good agent is more important than which company they work for. Find someone you can trust by getting a personal referral, never cold-call an agent.
the cost (fees etc) is pretty standardized, it won’t vary much from one company to the next. expect it to be 8% to 10% of the total sale price.

I have learned that anything worth having takes a lot of work and that doesn’t seem like a lot compared to taking the college courses which could be over a year in some cases. So are these schools legit? What is the difference between traditional colleges that take longer and the "fast" way?

Now I feel it’s time to get into being an entrepreneur and I want to work fast (I want to start very young). Well, if you are looking to being an entrepreneur getting a real estate license is not the way. It is really easy to get the license, but you have to work for a broker, you just don’t go out on your own and start selling houses.
The schools are mostly legit, they prepare you for the test. In CA you only have to get 60% of the answers right to pass. You can pass by simply guessing.
If you are serious about being an entrepreneur you should think about getting a regular 4 year degree in business. You can’t learn the skills you will need to start and run your own business in a 1 year class.
