It’s actually very interesting. You get to meet all sorts of interesting people and see a lot of different properties.
I can be both satisfying and frustrating. Sometimes, you can have long periods of not doing anything and other times your working with several clients at once.
It is, however, challenging.
I always get conflicted answers and I am not sure which is right or wrong. What should I expect and how do I make sure that we (Realtor) & Myself keep a long term professional relationship without any problems?
1) Honesty
2) Listening
3) Addressing their concerns
4) Honest advice of what the home is worth
5) Also, advice on things that might keep the home from selling
6) Hard work on showing the home
7) publicity on the home
My husband and I are renting a home using an agent for the first time and are being told to pay the realtors fees for both agents (half months rent for each) and I don’t know if this is how it is done. I know that when purchasing a home it is the seller that pays the fees so this does not make sense to me.
It depends on your agreement with the Realtor and what property they find you. Most agreements that you will sign with a Realtor state that they are owed a certain amount or percentage of the price when a deal is closed. If a seller pays some of that (which they do if they are working with a Realtor) you only have to make up the difference. I have never heard of a buyer having to pay a selling agent anything, but as in everything, its negotiable and the agent should have told you this before showing you the property.
This is to be payed by the buyer (me) at close of escrow ($395 is what I was quoted). This is in addition to the 3% to be payed by the seller. This came from a Prudential Realty CA agent. Is this common? Anyone heard of this before?
realtors try this all the time and call it an admin or processing fee. unless you agreed to it in wrting on buyer agency agreement then tell them to forget it. they cannot just add a fee that you never agreed to in writing.
this is a technique many realtors try with buyers now to earn a little extra money.
inexperienced buyers get nailed with this all the time. i wonder why real estate agents have bad reputations?
Do realestate lenders use a different credit report, then free credit report.com to determine credit score. I was told by a lender that his scores were lower than the credit report that I pulled off of Freecreditreport.com the day before the lender pulled his report.
No one throws away money on reports from free credit report.com
Reports are free for you – always have been.
They check reports from annual credit report. com for a tiny fee
Also, major lenders like FHA never check the scores.
They view the reports in detail and make their own decisions.
They also consider your length of employment, salary and age.
The score is there merely for you so you can know where you stand at.
Cancell that scam and freecreditreport.
And from now on get your reports for free.
If you ever need your score you can go to Equifax.com for about 8 bucks, or myfico.com for about 15 bucks.
Again, sweat what is in your reports and not your score.
Before buying your house, make sure you credit card balances are as low and you can make them.

The purpose of a great web page should be based on the results of its lead generation ability… Most real estate agent training focuses on script and dialogue, important stuff, just not the right Realtor training for producing a great lead generating website.
Most real estate agents get a web page based on looks and cost and do not understand its function as a lead generator or prospecting tool, they often treat is as a business card or a one stop shopping site for all the needs of a buyer or seller.
If you are a serious Realtor and want to get more leads, watch this video and you will have a new outlook on how a web page should and can be a massive lead generating tool for your business.
